Hello! I wanted to do a quick update – we got to Costa Rica two nights ago and I am super excited for what we’re doing here. We are at a teens challenge site which is a ministry that focuses on drug addicts, alcoholics, people on the streets, and the process of leading them to Jesus. These are located all across the world, and are year long programs to teach them about the bible, give them living space, and give them work. It’s like rehab but a million times better. There is a mens site, womens site, and one that we are helping build – which will be for moms and their kids! What we will be doing is lots of manual labor helping with the new house, building connections with everyone in the program, and outreach in costa bringing more people here. The cool thing about this place is all of the workers here on this site are currently in the last months of their program, which means they have chose to leave their past addictions behind and grow here. Absolutely so cool! Last night we got to go to the mens ministry site – eat and do worship with them. It was a very sweet night, and cool to know that for some of them, we are the first people to introduce mission work to them. It’s a big responsibility and been cool to build with them. It’s also cool to see that we are apart of their testimonies right now, and seeing them beat those addictions. Today we got to work at the mom and kids site, and get to start painting, yard work, etc. Super blessed for a sweet time period, and seeing change for all these people.

– side note we are in the middle of the jungle:) cabins and snakes galore

– our hosts are the sweetest and make the best burritos

– I feel challenged and pushed here

– I am excited to take all this home with me

all the best! <3 kylie

  1. Kylie, I have been spreading your testimony to all that will listen. Mom and I are so proud of you and the growth you have had through the challenges you have faced. This experience will impact the rest of your life. This gives me goose bumps. Love you always and carry on warrior!
    Love Dad.

  2. Kylie, I am so proud of you and the work you are doing in Costa Rica! Every time we talk to you, I can hear how you are growing as a servant of the Lord and as a young adult. You have a servant heart and I am so happy you chose to accept the challenge of this mission trip. As you minister to those who need support and understanding, I know you will carry this powerful testimony of life with you through your life. So much you will learn and carry with you as you continue to minister to others throughout life! Continue this ministry with your servants heart, stay safe, know you are loved and missed. We couldn’t be prouder of you Kylie! Love you so much! Mom
